Dandadan 241 spoilers: a cowboy crashes the party
Momo, Okarun, and Aira are still soaking in the dino spectacle, though Momo is understandably nervous that a raptor might take a bite. The clown sniper opens fire again and clips one of the dinosaurs, which sends everyone’s stress right back up. Then Aira appears out of nowhere and turns the clown into a personal rag doll for the rest of the fight. Her friends barely have time to thank her before a new character in a cowboy getup struts into the scene.
He and Aira trade blows and words like they already know each other, launching surprise attacks back and forth. The funniest beat is when the newcomer insists he is prettier than her, and Aira just writes him off as a degenerate. She wraps him up with her hair, full Rapunzel energy, and shrugs off his opinion of her with a simple line: people can think whatever they want, and that is fine. Meanwhile the clown quietly swears an oath to help everyone, looking oddly troubled about it.
Then comes the gut punch of a cliffhanger. As the dust settles, a brand new dinosaur lumbers into view, and it is no ordinary one. The final panel reveals a towering, Godzilla sized beast looming over the group. Whatever Yukinobu Tatsu is cooking for Chapter 242, it just got a whole lot bigger.

My take: This is Dandadan comfortably being the funniest and weirdest book on the shelf. The Evil Eye babysitting dinosaurs, a vain cowboy losing a slap fight to Aira’s hair, and then a kaiju the size of a skyscraper to close it out. Only Tatsu can swing between slapstick and spectacle this fast and make it land. Aira quietly became my favorite here too, brushing off the insult with real confidence. Now bring on the giant.
