Hotel Inhumans Season 2 Checks In Today
The hotel for killers reopens today. HOTEL INHUMANS Season 2 premieres October 4 on Crunchyroll, with Bridge and AISLE returning to animate Ao Tajima’s manga about a five star hotel whose guests are all assassins.
Service with a body count
The premise remains one of the sharpest in recent anime. The best hotels offer fine dining, relaxation and entertainment. This one also offers a curated weapons selection, reliable identity forgery and discreet evidence disposal. Concierges Ikuro Hoshi and Sara Haizaki handle whatever the guests need, and the guests keep arriving with requests that get more complicated by the episode.
Season one worked as an anthology with a slow burning spine, each assassin’s stay a self contained story while the hotel’s own secrets accumulated in the background. Season two has more of that accumulated weight to spend, and the manga’s second act pays off several threads the first season only hinted at.
Same day as Aoashi
October 4 stacks Hotel Inhumans against Aoashi Season 2 and Reborn as a Space Mercenary, a very different trio for very different audiences. The premiere was listed in Crunchyroll’s fall lineup as reported by Animation World Network.
My take: Hotel Inhumans is John Wick’s Continental as a workplace drama, and that is exactly as fun as it sounds. Season 2 with the same team is an easy recommendation.
