Black Clover Season 2 English Dub: What We Actually Know

Black Clover Season 2 premieres on Saturday October 3, 2026, and it streams on Crunchyroll. That part is settled. The question filling every comment section is the other one, because the Black Clover Season 2 English dub still has no date attached to it.

Here is the honest answer, plus what is actually confirmed about the season and what is still just a leak.

Black Clover Season 2 English dub release date

There is no English dub date yet. Crunchyroll has not announced one, and as of now it has not even confirmed that the season gets a dub at launch.

That sounds worse than it is. Crunchyroll has been putting big titles into simuldub within a few weeks of a premiere, and Black Clover is one of its largest properties. So a dub is very likely. It simply does not have a date.

We will update this page the moment Crunchyroll announces one. Until then, treat any specific date you see online as somebody guessing.

When does Black Clover Season 2 start?

The subbed premiere is October 3, 2026 on Crunchyroll, streaming as episodes air in Japan. Studio Pierrot returns to produce.

Crunchyroll also ran an early theatrical screening in select United States cinemas on September 21 through its Anime Nights programme, so some fans have already seen the opening episodes.

How many episodes is it?

Here is where you need to be careful, because almost every article states this as fact and it is not.

Reports point to 26 episodes split across two cours. The first cour of 13 covers the Spade Kingdom raid and starts in October. A second cour of 13 would follow in 2027 and adapt the final arc.

However, that figure comes from leaks rather than an announcement, and the source of it says plainly that the second cour count comes from planning documents and could still change. So treat 26 as likely rather than official.

What makes it plausible is the manga. Yuki Tabata finished Black Clover in May 2026 at chapter 392, which means the anime finally has an ending to adapt toward.

Where to watch it legally

Black Clover Season 2 streams on Crunchyroll. Every earlier episode is there too, subbed and dubbed, so a catch up run is easy. When the Black Clover Season 2 English dub does arrive, Crunchyroll is where it will land.

You can also read the manga in English on Viz Media, which is the fastest way to know where the season is heading.

Watch order before the new season

You do not need a complicated plan. Watch the original run in order, then stop.

If you want the short version, these are the beats that matter going in:

Asta and Yuno grow up as orphans at the same church. Yuno is a prodigy with wind magic and receives a four leaf grimoire. Asta is born with no magic at all and receives a five leaf grimoire, the kind said to hold a devil.

Asta joins the Black Bulls under Yami. Yuno joins the Golden Dawn. Together the Magic Knights break the Eye of the Midnight Sun.

Then a five hundred year old grudge resurfaces when the elves are reincarnated into human bodies, and the Clover Kingdom nearly tears itself apart.

After that the Spade Kingdom rises, the Dark Triad arrive with devil power, and the Heart Kingdom allies with Clover to stop them. Asta learns the truth about his mother Licita and reaches an understanding with his devil, Liebe.

The original run ends with the Magic Knights training for the war that Season 2 finally shows.

What else is premiering this season

Our Fall 2026 anime schedule has every Crunchyroll premiere date in one place if you are building a watch list.

My take: Six years is a long time to wait, and the dub silence is the only sour note. Crunchyroll knows exactly how big this is, so I would be surprised if a dub announcement is more than a few weeks away. What I care about more is the 26 episode figure holding. Black Clover has 122 chapters left to adapt. That is tight, and this series has never been good at being rushed. Give it the room and it lands. Squeeze it and we get another ending people argue about for years.

We covered the premiere announcement itself when it dropped: Black Clover Season 2 locks in its October premiere.
