Dandadan 240 Spoilers: Okarun’s Desperate Jiji Rescue
With Sakamoto Days wrapping its manga run, a lot of shonen readers have swung their attention over to Dandadan, and Chapter 240 is exactly the kind of chaos that keeps them there. This one is all about the scramble to save Jiji, with Momo, Okarun, and Aira sprinting through a stampede of dinosaurs while a sniper tries to pick them off. Here is the full breakdown of the leaks.

Dandadan chapters 238 and 239 recap
Chapter 238 leaned into the heartache. Okarun, now stripped of Turbo Granny’s power, refuses to leave Momo behind even though he would almost certainly lose a straight fight. Aira, who has feelings for him, hugs him from behind and lays them bare, and Okarun gently makes it clear his heart belongs to Momo. It stings, but Aira decides to help him anyway.

Chapter 239 shifted to the villains. We got a proper look at Red Baron, the loyal attendant to Gilles de Rais who tears around on his bicycle like a man possessed, complete with the running joke about his heavy smoker aura. He wants to rebuild the Delacroix family, but he is bitter that his own powers were stripped away, so he goes hunting for more strength within his reach.

Dandadan 240 spoilers: Operation Rescue Jiji
The chapter, fittingly titled around rescuing Jiji, drops the trio right into the herd. Okarun’s logic is that sticking near the plant eaters keeps the meat eaters off them, though as Momo points out, it is a bit like weaving through traffic and hoping no car clips you. Aira solves the immediate problem by using her Acrobatic Silky hair to swing all three of them up onto a brachiosaur’s neck.

Okarun charges the Oni Club with Momo’s ki and slams it into the dinosaur to force it to bring its meal back up. Right as he and Momo almost share a sweet hand holding moment, a clown sniper puts a bullet through Okarun’s shoulder and he tumbles off. Aira cushions the fall, the graze turns out to be minor, and the group keeps striking brachiosaurs one by one, searching each pile of regurgitated mess for their friend.

They finally find Jiji, unconscious, dredged up from a dinosaur’s belly. Then the raptors close in, Okarun raises his weapon again, and Jiji stirs. Except it is not quite Jiji. The Evil Eye has taken the wheel, and instead of fighting the raptors, it strolls up to them cheerfully. The chapter ends on the perfect Dandadan beat: the deadly predators take one look at the yokai and instantly submit. A dinosaur and the Evil Eye, a better love story than most.
Where to read Dandadan Chapter 240
Dandadan by Yukinobu Tatsu runs on Shonen Jump Plus, and the official English chapters are free to read on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus and Viz Media. Both keep the newest chapter up at no cost, so there is no reason to hunt down a shady aggregator. For more leaks like this, browse our Manga Spoilers hub.

My take: This is Dandadan doing the thing only Dandadan does, mixing a genuinely tense rescue with a punchline about a dinosaur bowing to a possessed teenager. Tatsu keeps earning these swings because the emotional beats underneath are real. Okarun turning down Aira but still fighting for everyone, Aira helping anyway, none of that gets lost in the dinosaur soup. My one worry is Okarun feeling a little fragile now that Turbo Granny’s power is gone, but honestly, a hero who has to think his way out is more fun to read than one who just overpowers everything. The Evil Eye taming the raptors is going straight into the highlight reel.
