What to Read After Berserk Deluxe 14: Reading Order
You just closed Berserk Deluxe 14 and want to know what comes next. Here is the short answer: switch to the standard paperback volumes. Read Berserk Volume 42 now, then Volume 43 when Dark Horse releases it on November 24, 2026. A Deluxe 15 is coming, but not soon.
Below is the full reading order after Berserk Deluxe 14, how the deluxe and standard editions line up, and what is still only available in Japanese.

What Berserk Deluxe 14 covers
Dark Horse released Berserk Deluxe Edition Volume 14 in November 2023. It collects standard Volumes 40 and 41, plus the Berserk Official Guidebook and two fold out color posters, in more than 500 oversized pages.
That makes Deluxe 14 different from every other deluxe book. The others each collect three standard volumes. Deluxe 14 collects two, because Volume 41 is where Kentaro Miura’s own work ends. It closes with chapter 364, the chapter Miura was working on when he died in May 2021. His assistants at Studio Gaga finished it.
So if you have read Deluxe 14 cover to cover, you have read every chapter Miura worked on. Everything after it is the continuation.
What to read after Berserk Deluxe 14

Here is the reading order once you finish Deluxe 14:
| Order | Book | Chapters | English release |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Berserk Volume 42 (standard) | 365 to 373 | Out now, March 18, 2025 |
| 2 | Berserk Volume 43 (standard) | 374 to 382 | November 24, 2026 |
| 3 | Chapters 383 to 386 | Not collected yet | Japanese only for now |
| 4 | Berserk Deluxe 15 | Not announced | Waiting on Volume 44 in Japan |
Volume 42 picks up exactly where Deluxe 14 stops, with chapter 365. It is the first volume of the continuation, drawn by Studio Gaga with Miura’s friend Kouji Mori supervising the story. Volume 43 was first set for October 27, 2026, but Dark Horse moved it to November 24 because of a production issue. It also includes an afterword by Mori.
Berserk Deluxe vs standard volumes
The two editions tell the same story, which is why Berserk Deluxe 14 readers can switch formats without missing anything. The difference is format and timing.
- Standard volumes are paperbacks. Dark Horse translates them one at a time, after each Japanese volume comes out.
- Deluxe Editions are oversized hardcovers that collect three standard volumes at once. Dark Horse can only make one when three new standard volumes exist.
That second point is why Deluxe 15 is not out. Dark Horse said in July 2026 that the Deluxe Edition will continue with Volume 15 once there are enough volumes, and that it is waiting on Volume 44, which has not been released in Japan yet. Deluxe 15 will most likely collect Volumes 42 to 44, but Dark Horse has not confirmed its contents or a date.
Should you wait for Berserk Deluxe 15?
If a matching shelf matters to you, you can wait after Berserk Deluxe 14. Just know it will take a while. Volume 44 needs chapters that mostly have not been written yet. After all, only chapters 383 to 386 exist beyond Volume 43, and in 2026 the series has released three chapters so far.
If you care more about the story, buy the standard Volume 42 now. You can still pick up Deluxe 15 later for the shelf.
Where to read new Berserk chapters

- In English: Dark Horse standard volumes, in print and digital. Berserk Volume 43 is up for preorder.
- In Japanese: new chapters run in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine. There is no official English release of single chapters, so English readers wait for the volumes.
Meanwhile, new chapters do not come out on a fixed schedule. In 2026, Berserk returned with chapters 384, 385 and 386 between June and July, and no date has been announced for chapter 387. For the full story behind the continuation, read our post on Berserk ending notes and what Kouji Mori knows.

After Berserk Deluxe 14 FAQ
What do I read after Berserk Deluxe 14?
Read the standard Berserk Volume 42, which starts with chapter 365, then Volume 43, out in English on November 24, 2026.
Is there a Berserk Deluxe 15?
Dark Horse says Deluxe 15 is coming once enough volumes exist. It is waiting on Volume 44, which has not been released in Japan yet. No date has been announced.
Does Berserk Deluxe 14 have Miura’s last chapter?
Yes. Deluxe 14 collects Volumes 40 and 41, and Volume 41 ends with chapter 364, the last chapter Kentaro Miura worked on.
Can I read new Berserk chapters in English?
Not officially. New chapters run in Japanese in Young Animal, and Dark Horse only releases them in English once they are collected into volumes.
My take: Do not wait for Deluxe 15. I understand the appeal of a perfect shelf, and the deluxe books are the best way to own Berserk. But the math here is brutal. Dark Horse needs three standard volumes for a deluxe book, Volume 44 does not exist in Japan yet, and the series has averaged only a handful of chapters a year since the continuation began. Waiting for the follow up to Berserk Deluxe 14 could mean waiting years to read a story you can read right now. Volume 42 is also the right place to make up your own mind about the continuation. Some fans have been harsh about the art and the pacing, and some of that criticism is fair, because nobody draws like Miura did. On the other hand, Studio Gaga spent years working beside him, and Mori is following the story Miura told him. You owe it to yourself to judge that with your own eyes rather than through someone else’s reaction thread. Buy the paperbacks, read them, and treat Deluxe 15 as a bonus for the shelf when it finally arrives.
