Kakuriyo Bed and Breakfast Season 2 English Dub Begins
Crunchyroll revealed on Tuesday that the English dub for the second season of Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits began streaming the next day. The series is based on the light novels by writer Midori Yūma and illustrator Laruha.
Happily for fans, the English cast brings back returning members, helping keep the warm, familiar feel of the first season intact. Jonathan Rigg directs the dub, Kieran Flittion handles the adaptation, and the recording is rounded out by Nathanael Harrison and Zachary Davis.
The new season premiered in Japan on Tokyo MX on October 1, and Crunchyroll is carrying it across a wide range of regions, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and India.
On the music side, the singer Tōyama performs both the opening theme, Tōryanse, and the ending song, Namida no Recipe.
The series continues the gentle story of Aoi, a young woman who can see spirits and repays a family debt by cooking for the guests at a grand inn in the hidden realm.
My take: Keeping the original dub cast for a comfort series like this matters so much, since their voices are part of why it feels like home. I am glad English viewers can settle right back into Tenjin-ya.
