Trillion Game Manga Returns November 14 to End in Two Chapters
The 22nd issue of Shogakukan’s Big Comic Superior revealed on Friday that Riichirou Inagaki and Ryōichi Ikegami’s Trillion Game manga is coming back from its break. The series returns in the magazine’s next issue on November 14 and will wrap up just two chapters later.
Trillion Game last ran a chapter on August 8 before going on hiatus on August 22. In English, Viz Media has been publishing the series and released its seventh volume on September 16.
The story pairs a smooth, ambitious talker named Haru, who calls himself the greediest man in the world, with Gaku, a shy but gifted programmer. Together they set out to earn a trillion dollars with plenty of charm and skill but almost no real plan. Their company, Trillion Game, carries them from a simple middle school acquaintance all the way to the very top of the world’s billionaire rankings.
The creators bring serious pedigree to it. Inagaki is known for Eyeshield 21 and Dr. Stone, while Ikegami drew Crying Freeman. They launched Trillion Game in December 2020, and it has since passed 1.5 million copies in circulation and won a Shogakukan Award in January 2024.
The series has also stretched beyond the page. Its anime adaptation began in October 2024 and ran for two straight cours, with Crunchyroll streaming it as it aired, and it has inspired live action projects as well.
My take: It is always a little emotional when a series you have followed announces its final chapters. Trillion Game has been such a bold, fast moving ride, and I hope the ending pays off Haru and Gaku’s wild ambition.
