Resident Evil Requiem Reveals Deluxe Edition Switch 2 Controller and Amiibo
Capcom released a story recap video for Resident Evil Requiem narrated by Maggie Robertson, the voice of Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village. The video covers the history of the series leading up to the new game and also reveals the Deluxe Edition contents, a themed Nintendo Switch 2 controller, a Switch 2 amiibo for protagonist Grace Ashcroft, and a Fortnite collaboration for Epic Games Store buyers.
The Deluxe Edition includes five costumes including one based on Dimitrescu for Grace, four weapon skins, two screen filters, two charms, an audio pack, and in-game files. The Switch 2 controller and Grace Ashcroft amiibo are both themed around the new game’s aesthetic. Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned.
Pre-orders are now open. The game introduces Grace Ashcroft as the new playable protagonist and is set in a new location. Maggie Robertson reprises her role as Lady Dimitrescu in the video but her role in the game itself has not been detailed beyond what the recap reveals.
My take: Having Maggie Robertson narrate the story so far is a genuinely smart move. Her voice carries real gravity and she has become one of the most beloved figures in the Resident Evil space. The Deluxe Edition contents look generous and the Switch 2 controller is a nice collectors piece. February 27 feels close and far away at the same time.
