May I Ask for One Final Thing Anime Gets English Dub on Crunchyroll at Premiere

Crunchyroll has announced that it will stream an English dub for the television anime of May I Ask for One Final Thing? alongside the series premiere. The dub will launch with the first two episodes on the show’s premiere date, giving English-speaking audiences a dubbed version right from the start.

The anime adapts the manga by storywriter Nana Ōtori and illustrator Sora Hoonoki. On the production side, Emily Fajardo is directing the dub and Zach Bolton is producing. Jared Smith is adapting the English script, with William Dewell as mixer and Jameson Outlaw as engineer.

The series will debut in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV before airing on additional networks. Crunchyroll is handling international streaming across North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the CIS region.

Launching a dub on the same day as the Japanese premiere is a sign of the increasing investment streaming platforms are making in dubbed content, making it easier for viewers who prefer dubs to watch new shows without waiting months.

My take: Same-day dubs have made a real difference for viewers who prefer dubbed anime, and it is always good to see a new series commit to that from the outset. The production team sounds capable, and I am curious to see how the story unfolds.
