I Became a Legend After My 10 Year Long Last Stand Reveals Full Cast and Staff
The upcoming television anime I Became a Legend After My 10 Year Long Last Stand has unveiled its full core cast and production staff. The series adapts Ezogingitsune and illustrator DeeCHA’s light novel and is set to premiere in 2026, with GREE Entertainment handling production.
Voicing the three main characters are Gakuto Kajiwara as Luck, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Erik, and Tsuyoshi Koyama as Golan. Hiroyuki Kanbe is directing at studio Gekkō, with Mitsutaka Hirota taking care of series composition and Majiro designing the characters. The team brings solid experience from a range of action and fantasy productions.
The story follows a warrior who, left with no other option, chose to remain behind alone and hold an overwhelming enemy at bay so his companions could escape. What started as a desperate last stand became a decade long battle of endurance. By the time the world caught up with him, his name had already become legend.
The manga version of the series is available in English through Square Enix and Comikey, giving curious readers a way to explore the story well ahead of the anime’s 2026 premiere.
My take: There is something genuinely compelling about a fantasy protagonist whose defining trait is quiet, stubborn perseverance over ten years rather than a dramatic power surge. The cast has great depth and the production team knows the genre well. This one is on my watchlist.
