Emaqi Adds Rokudo’s Bad Girls Manga in English
The emaqi e-bookstore, run by localization company Orange, has added Yuji Nakamura’s Rokudo’s Bad Girls to its English catalog.
Nakamura ran the manga in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion from 2016 to 2021, wrapping it up across 26 volumes.
The story follows Tosuke Rokudo, a timid high school boy who is constantly bullied by delinquents. Everything changes when he inherits a mysterious scroll from his late grandfather, which leaves a mark on his forehead. The mark’s strange power causes a tough delinquent girl named Ranna Himawari to fall head over heels for him. The series was popular enough to earn a television anime that premiered in April 2023.
Orange launched emaqi in the United States and Canada in late 2024, building a library of several thousand manga volumes.
My take: It is always nice when an older title becomes easier for English readers to enjoy. Rokudo’s Bad Girls has a fun, scrappy premise, and wider availability means more fans can discover it for the first time.
