Double the Trouble Twice as Nice Manga to End at Volume 14
Ryō Ichino announced on X on September 25 that the manga Double the Trouble, Twice as Nice will come to an end in its 14th volume. That final volume is scheduled to ship on November 25.
The series has been running on Shueisha’s Manga Mee platform since May 2021. The 13th compiled volume arrived on October 24, and the series is now in its final stretch. Yen Press publishes the manga in English, with the first English volume having come out on July 22 and the second set for January 20.
The story follows a young woman named Yuri Hayama who comes across an unconscious child on the street and, unable to just walk away, ends up bringing him home. It turns out the boy has a strange ability to shift between appearing as a young child and a fully grown attractive man, and he has no reservations about using that to get his way.
My take: It is always a little bittersweet when a series wraps up, especially one with as distinctive a premise as this one. Fourteen volumes is a solid run, and I hope it gets the kind of ending that does justice to the story Ichino has been building.
