Android Yuri Anime Reveals Cast Ahead of Winter 2026
WWWave Corporation has opened an official website for the upcoming anime Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, announcing its main cast and staff on Tuesday. The series adapts Yakiniku Teishoku’s science fiction girls love manga and is set to debut in January 2026.
For the voice cast, Ayaka Shimizu plays the lead, Akane Tsuda, with Marika Hayase as the android Nadeshiko and Komaru Kurikoma as Itou.
On the staff side, Neko B is handling both directing and series composition, while Mitsuru Tsukiumi takes care of the character and color design. The music comes from ZincP, with Fumihiko Ootera serving as sound director.
The story is a gentle, grown up comedy about Akane, a capable office worker whose cluttered private life leads her to order an android helper named Nadeshiko, only for their living arrangement to turn unexpectedly tender. As with the manga, it is aimed at adult readers, so age ratings are worth a look.
My take: Quirky odd couple romances like this one can be surprisingly sweet under the comedy. With the manga wrapping up soon, the timing of this adaptation feels just right for fans.
