Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party Anime Adds Two More Cast
The official website for the anime There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her announced two more cast members on Friday. Toshiki Masuda joins as Duke, a Dullahan, and Minami Tanaka as Seek, a Pixie, both former subordinates of the lead character Yōki.
The series adapts Suisei’s light novels along with Kairi’s manga version, and it is set to debut in 2026. Crunchyroll will carry it worldwide outside of most of Asia, while still including India and the wider Indian subcontinent.
These additions round out a growing cast of characters tied to Yōki’s past, deepening the world the romantic fantasy is building.
As a reminder of the premise, the story follows Yōki, a man reborn in a fantasy world not as a hero but as the demon lord’s underling. Everything changes when he falls for the priest Cecilia, a member of the very hero’s party he is meant to oppose.
Yasutaka Yamamoto, known for Medalist, is among the staff guiding the adaptation, which has steadily filled out its voice cast ahead of next year’s premiere.
My take: A Dullahan and a Pixie joining the cast is a fun sign of how playful this world is. I remain charmed by the central idea of a romance blooming across enemy lines, and the casting keeps building my interest.
