Top 10 Strongest Anime Characters of All Time
Ranking the strongest characters across every anime is a fight in itself, so here are the rules: feats over statements, in universe scale over fan theories, and no characters whose entire gimmick is being unbeatable in a comedy unless the comedy actually shows it. That last rule matters for number one.
The rankings
- Saitama, One Punch Man. The joke is that he cannot lose, and the Garou fight proved the joke holds at planetary scale. Nobody else on this list has a ceiling that keeps rising the more he is pushed.
- Goku, Dragon Ball. Ultra Instinct puts him in the conversation with gods of destruction, and his consistency across decades is unmatched.
- Anos Voldigoad, The Misfit of Demon King Academy. A demon king who casually erases concepts. The show rarely bothers to make his fights close.
- Zeno, Dragon Ball Super. Erased multiple universes on a whim. Low on the list only because he never actually fights.
- Kaguya Otsutsuki, Naruto. The origin of chakra itself, defeated only by sealing rather than force.
- Muzan Kibutsuji, Demon Slayer. Required the entire Demon Slayer Corps and sunrise to bring down.
- Meruem, Hunter x Hunter. The most intelligent fighter in anime and, until Netero’s bomb, the most physically dominant.
- Satoru Gojo, Jujutsu Kaisen. Infinity and the Unlimited Void made him a walking end to any fight for most of the series.
- Yhwach, Bleach. Can see and rewrite every possible future.
- Eren Yeager, Attack on Titan. The Founding Titan’s Rumbling threatened the entire planet, which earns a place regardless of how it ended.
The obvious omissions
Gilgamesh, Rimuru Tempest and Ainz Ooal Gown all have cases. Gag characters like Arale are excluded on purpose.
My take: Saitama on top is not a cop out. The Garou fight showed real scaling, and until someone animates him losing, the top spot is his.
