One Piece Watch Order and Filler Guide for New Fans
Starting One Piece in 2026 feels like agreeing to climb a mountain that keeps growing. The good news: the route is simpler than it looks, and the new seasonal format makes this the best time in years to begin.
The saga order
Watch the sagas in broadcast order: East Blue, Alabasta, Sky Island, Water 7, Thriller Bark, Summit War, Fish Man Island, Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island, Wano Country, and the Final Saga with Egghead and beyond. Each saga is a complete emotional arc, so treat them like seasons of a very long show rather than one endless stream.
What you can skip
Most filler arcs are short and harmless, but the ones commonly skipped are G8, Warship Island, Post Alabasta, Ocean’s Dream and the various recap specials. None of them touch the main story. If a character you have never seen suddenly drives an entire arc, you are probably in filler and can jump ahead without guilt.

My take: Do not marathon it. One Piece is a companion show, the kind you live alongside for a year or two. The people who burn out are the ones who tried to sprint.
