Why this is good news
The weekly treadmill forced the old series into stretched pacing and recap padding whenever the anime crept too close to the manga. Seasons change that math completely. Production gets breathing room, the adaptation can move at the speed the story deserves, and animators get schedules that do not grind them down.
Toei has been steering its flagship toward this for a while, and the payoff has been visible on screen. The recent stretches of the anime carry film level animation in places, and a seasonal calendar protects exactly that standard going forward.
