Conception Recap: Twelve Maidens and One Impossible Mission

This Conception recap covers one of anime’s most infamous premises played completely straight. On graduation day, Itsuki is pulled into the world of Granvania, which is drowning in impurity that only Star Children, born of ritual bonds between him and twelve star maidens, can fight.

The anime, based on the RPG, splits its time between the dungeon war against impurity and the courtship of the twelve maidens, each tied to a zodiac sign and each with a story that has to be resolved before their star can shine.
