But because his obsession with books was so overwhelmingly powerful in life, his soul refuses to move on and he wakes up alive in a brand new body, reincarnated as a tiny dachshund puppy who can still understand human language and still thinks entirely like his nerdy old self, and when he is adopted at the pet store by a gorgeous glasses wearing baddie who turns out to be none other than his idol Shinobu Akiyama, he discovers that the sweet delicate author he worshiped his entire life is actually a violent sadistic psycho who solves every single problem by stabbing it with a pair of scissors, and now he has to survive her deranged lifestyle as her loyal lap dog while the stalker who killed him comes hunting for them both.
