Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Anime Adds More Cast
The official website for the anime Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka, known in English as Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle, revealed additional cast members on Tuesday. The series, based on Hiromu’s comedy romance novels, premiered on October 7 across AT-X, Tokyo MX, and several other channels.
The newly announced voices are Shunichi Toki as Kazuki Mizushino and Fumiya Imai as Kaito Asano, filling out the show’s growing cast.
Behind the scenes, Yuji Tokuno is directing at studio feel, with Naruhisa Arakawa handling the series composition and scripts, Sumie Kinoshita on character designs, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa composing the music.
Hiromu began the original light novels back in 2019, with illustrations by raemz, and the series has since grown to nine volumes. A manga adaptation by Bobcat also ran for several years before wrapping up earlier this year.
English readers are covered too, as Yen Press licensed both the light novels and the manga, releasing new volumes of each on an ongoing basis.
My take: Youthful comedy romances built around a charismatic lead can be a lot of fun, and a solid voice cast helps a lot. With its run now underway, I am curious to see how it captures the novels’ charm.
