Lose Your Virginity to an Android Manga Is Ending Soon
The December issue of Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime revealed on Saturday that Yakinikuteishoku’s yuri manga Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? is heading into its final stretch. The series will wrap up in three more chapters.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English and has its sixth volume scheduled for December 30.
The story centers on Akane Tsuda, a sharp and admired 28 year old office worker at a robotics company. At work she seems to have it all together, but at home she is a cheerful mess living in a cluttered apartment. In a tipsy moment she orders an android named Nadeshiko to help tidy up, and the playful, flirtatious helper that arrives turns her life upside down in ways she did not expect.
Yakinikuteishoku began the manga in Comic Yuri Hime in July 2021, and it is now reaching its conclusion. There is more to look forward to as well, since a short television anime adaptation from WWWave’s Deregula label is set to premiere in January.
My take: A messy, charming romance with a sweet odd couple dynamic is always a fun read. It is nice that the anime arrives just as the manga reaches its ending, giving fans two ways to enjoy the story.
