What happened in Kagurabachi 131

Chapter 131 opened softly. Chiaki and Kunishige finally met again after all those letters, and the reunion earned every page it took.

Then the Sorcery Bureau took over. They argued about what should happen to Chiaki, and the room was not kind about it.

Meanwhile the forge side of the story moved fast. Kyora Sazanami confirmed that the smelting quality was extraordinary, well beyond what anyone expected from the datenseki ore.

So the Enchanted Blade project got approved. The Bureau put the timeline at roughly three months. Kunishige then offered to do it in about two, and Ichiki shot that down as reckless. That exchange tells you everything about both men.

Then the chapter dropped its real bomb. Ibuki Misaka arrived.

Ibuki is widely believed to be Natsuki’s brother, and he is believed to be the original wielder of Cloud Gouger. Treat both points as strong reader consensus rather than a stated fact, because the chapter plays coy. Either way, his entrance changes the shape of the arc.

What to expect from Kagurabachi 132

Kagurabachi 132 should finally let Ibuki speak. Consequently, we may learn why he is here, what he wants from Chihiro, and whether Cloud Gouger really passed through his hands first.

The Bureau also owes Chiaki a verdict. So expect that thread to resolve, or to get much worse.

My take: Takeru Hokazono keeps doing the one thing I love most about this series. He builds quiet chapters with real weight, then ends them on a single panel that rearranges everything. Ibuki walking in is that panel. If he really did carry Cloud Gouger before Chihiro, then the whole forge arc was setup for a family argument about a sword, and I am completely here for it.
