Blue Lock 357 Spoilers: Japan’s Double Wing Answers
The Blue Lock 357 spoilers finally give Japan an answer. Chapter 357 is called “Double Wing”, and it hands the reply to Yukimiya and Zantetsu rather than to Isagi. Teddy Knight still gets the opening word, though, and it is a worrying one.

How Japan got here: chapters 354 to 356
Chapter 354 set the table. Japan and England came in level on points, so the winner goes through. Ego lined Japan up in a 4141 and told the squad that losing must not enter their heads, and that any defeat would be his fault alone.
In 355 the coaches met. Fox told Ego he never expected to face him, which says they go back. Then the match started and England read Japan almost immediately. Japan were building through Karasu, and England simply swarmed him. Teddy stripped the ball off Isagi and told him a doll could do that much.
Then 356 hurt. Fox ran his side with hand signals from the bench, Aiku and Karasu held for a while, and Teddy eventually cut inside, beat several players and scored. England went a goal up, and Isagi was left asking how a team with no egos could be this strong.
Blue Lock 357 spoilers: seven ways to cut inside
The chapter opens on the technique itself. Cutting inside means moving sharply from the wing towards the middle, and Teddy has seven different versions of it. That is why he sits in the New Generation World Eleven.
Fox takes the credit, of course. He explains his method plainly. Give players dreams and joy before they start thinking for themselves, and then you control them completely. They become his puppets.
Teddy says the same thing about himself without any bitterness. He is a puppet who will die to give England a World Cup. Ego, watching this, tells Fox to be quiet.
Isagi hits a wall
Isagi’s whole game is finding an opponent’s ego and eating it. So an opponent with no ego leaves him with nothing to grab. He admits it in as many words. He does not know how to devour someone without an ego.
However, he does not accept it. He decides Teddy must have an ego buried somewhere, and that finding it is now the job.
The double wing answers
The restart belongs to Yukimiya, and we get a flashback to explain why. Ego sent him a letter telling him to study a sword. He trained in Iaido, working on the switch between stillness and motion, and that is what his dribbling now runs on.
It works. He slides through the English press like a blade, and when three players close him down he does not gamble. Instead he plays a long ball out to Zantetsu.
Zantetsu remembers his own work with Ego on speed and finishing, then tears down the right as the right wing’s hunter. He leaves the centre back for dead and strikes. The England keeper claws it away. Not today.
Still, that is the first time all match that Japan have properly hurt England. Isagi sees it and understands. Meanwhile Yukimiya and Zantetsu know exactly what they just did.
Auggie shows a flicker of ego
The keeper rolls it out, and Karasu presses Auggie hard, calling England soulless and predictable. That lands. Auggie takes it personally, breaks from the system, and dribbles past him to prove a point.
Kiyora reads it and takes the ball off him, then feeds Aiku, and Japan surge forward. Because for one second, an England player chose himself over Fox’s plan.
The last panel is Isagi’s Meta Vision switching on. He saw the flicker. In short, the egoless team is not quite egoless, and Isagi has finally found something to eat.
Blue Lock 358 release date
Chapter 358 arrives on Tuesday August 25 2026, at 8am Pacific and 11am Eastern, with the Japanese release the following day. It goes up on K Manga alongside Weekly Shonen Magazine.

England still lead by a goal. However, Japan have found two things that work, and Isagi has a target for the first time in the match. My take: Giving this chapter to Yukimiya and Zantetsu was the right call, and I did not expect it. Isagi has carried so much of this arc that a Japan comeback led by him would have felt automatic. Instead the answer comes from two players quietly doing homework Ego set them ages ago, which is a lovely payoff. The Auggie moment is the real hinge though. Fox built a team designed to have no ego, and the first crack appears because Karasu insulted one of them. That is a very funny and very human way to break a perfect machine.
