The animation in Solo Leveling Season 2 operates on a different budget tier than most television anime. Every shadow ability sequence, every dungeon raid, every moment Sung Jinwoo decides to stop holding back is rendered with theatrical quality movement and lighting. The second season covers the Japan Arc and pushes the power scaling to a level the first season only hinted at. My take: Solo Leveling Season 2 winning Best Animation is one of the most deserved outcomes of the entire awards show. The production effort on this adaptation is visible in every single episode. Sung Jinwoo is the most visually compelling protagonist in modern anime and A-1 Pictures knows it. Season 3 confirmation cannot come soon enough.
