Le Paradis Manga Magazine Ends With Its 50th Issue in February 2026
Hakusensha has announced that its Le Paradis manga anthology magazine will end publication with its 50th issue, which ships on February 27. The magazine’s online supplement will also conclude with a spring issue in March 2026. Hakusensha published the 49th issue this past Friday.
Le Paradis launched in October 2009 with the goal of publishing what the publisher described as cutting edge romance comics. It has published three issues per year in February, June, and October ever since. The fates of the manga series currently serialized in the magazine will be announced at a later date.
Several series from Le Paradis have received English releases over the years, including Kenji Tsuruta’s Captain Momo’s Secret Base, Niiro Ikuhana’s Imaginary, Fuka Mizutani’s Love at Fourteen, Yumi Unita’s Slumbering Beauty, and works by Asumiko Nakamura.
My take: Fifty issues over sixteen years is a meaningful run for a niche anthology focused on romance, and Le Paradis clearly found its audience among readers who wanted something a little more artful and understated in that space. Losing a venue like this matters for creators who worked there. Hopefully the serialized manga find good homes and get to finish their stories properly.
