Studio TRIGGER Launches New Anime Short Series The Lenticulars
Studio TRIGGER has launched a new anime short series dubbed The Lenticulars. New episodes of The Lenticulars will premiere every Friday at 3:00 a.m. PT / 6:00 a.m. ET, and the first episode. “Work Gloves are Gloves,” is now streaming on the official Studio TRIGGER YouTube channel.
Akira Amemiya is at the helm of the series as the director, script writer, and character designer, and he’s in charge of series composition, storyboards, animation, colors, and some background work. Kosuke Hayashi wrote and composed the anime’s theme song” The Lenticulars,” by Scenarioart. 24chocolate’s Rikiya Okada composed the music, and Daiki Takasawa is the music director.
The main cast includes:
- Manato Okawara as Rakkun
- Uta Aihara as Sawaki-san
- Yu Nishizawa as Miike
- Keigo Moriura as Dony
Studio TRIGGER is also working with CD Projekt Red on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the sequel to the beloved anime for Netflix. Although David is dead, Night City lives on, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 focuses on a new story with a new cast of characters.
Kai Ikarashi will direct the series, Kanno Ichigo will design the characters, and Masahiko Otsuka is responsible for the screenplay adaptation. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will build off of the world of Night City, but it will have an all-new 10-episode standalone story.
