Spy x Family Season 3 Bus Hijacking Arc Starts November 8

TOHO animation has confirmed through a new promotional video that the bus hijacking arc of Spy×Family Season 3 will begin on November 8. The video previews what is coming in the next episode of the series.

The third season premiered on October 4 on TV Tokyo and several affiliated stations across Japan, with a BS TV Tokyo broadcast following on October 5. Wit Studio and CloverWorks are co-producing the season together, as they have for the series throughout its run. Yukiko Imai, a past episode director for the franchise, is now directing the full season.

Crunchyroll is streaming the new season worldwide outside of Asia as it airs, and began releasing the English dubbed version on October 18. The staff for this season includes Yuki Takeuchi and Tomomi Sugimoto on art setting, Keita Watanabe as CG director, and Rina Koguchi continuing from previous seasons.

My take: The bus hijacking arc is a fan favorite moment from the manga, and having confirmation of exactly when it arrives is exciting for anyone who has been looking forward to seeing it animated. Season 3 has been building nicely, and this feels like a real turning point.
