Solo Leveling Studio Previews New Anime Celebration for Monumental Anniversary
The studio behind Solo Leveling is bringing another fan-favorite action series to life. A-1 Pictures is celebrating the third anniversary of another futuristic action title with the jaw-dropping release of a new anime preview.
Solo Leveling‘s anime studio released a preview of its new animated opening for Goddess of Victory: Nikke. The post-apocalyptic series starring stunning gun-wielding damsels is celebrating its third year with numerous in-game rewards for its loyal players. Among the celebrations is the release of the new anime intro that reflects the story’s dramatic progression from Nov. 4, 2022, to today. The biggest change since the free-to-play game’s initial release is the appearance of Rapi, Nikke’s beautiful female lead, who has since inherited the essence of Red Hood, becoming Rapi: Red Hood.
Solo Leveling Anime Studio Reveals Goddess of Victory: Nikke 3rd Anniversary Opening
Goddess of Victory: Nikke is a third-person action role-playing shooter set in a futuristic world conquered by mechanical aliens called the Raptures. You, the “Commander,” are given the intimidating task of rescuing the surface world from the Raptures with a team of beautiful artificial soldiers that reside underground on Earth.
While Nikke prides itself on eye candy (in its graphics and other details…), it also features a dramatic, heartwrenching narrative driven by the love and sacrifices of these robotic beauties. It also features addictive gun-blazing gameplay and larger-than-life boss fights, all presented through a captivating back view of your soldiers in action. Outside the battlefield, the player can learn more about these goddesses through various story events that further develop the blossoming relationship between Nikke and the Commander.
Although Goddess of Victory: Nikke launched to a rocky start, the series has grown immensely over its three years of activity, moving from “guilty pleasure” to “absolute cinema.” Over its three years, Nikke has collaborated with several anime and gaming franchises, including Neon Genesis Evangelion, NieR: Automata, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, and, most recently, Resident Evil.
However, one anime collaboration worth noting was the one between Goddess of Victory: Nikke and Chainsaw Man. While there’s no official confirmation, a possible rerun of the Chainsaw Man event could happen in the future, given the game’s past gacha banner reruns and Chainsaw Man: The Movie‘s current worldwide box-office domination.
In the lead-up to its third anniversary on Nov. 4, Nikke is offering multiple in-game rewards for daily log-ins and simple activities. Additionally, Nikke is debuting several new three-star characters tied to its upcoming major storyline, along with even more challenging boss fights for solo or multiplayer play.
Among the new Nikke characters is Nayuta. The game’s description of her reads: “A member of the Pioneer Squad who lacks a name derived from a fairy tale, since she is not a Grimm’s Model. She travels around the world, tracking the location and movements of the Queen in space, along with the timing of her attacks. ‘I am Nayuta, the fourth member of the Forerunners. I eagerly anticipate the privilege of working alongside thee.'”
Goddess of Victory: Nikke is available to download for iOS, Android, and PC.
