Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution Compilation Film Gets New Trailer
TOHO animation gave Jujutsu Kaisen fans a fresh look on Friday, releasing a trailer for the compilation film Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution. The video shows off scenes from the film alongside footage from the upcoming third season, subtitled The Culling Game Part 1.
GKIDS followed up with an English subtitled version of the same trailer.

Known in full as Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins, the film stitches together the second season’s harrowing “Shibuya Incident” with the first two episodes of season three, giving audiences a running start before the new season arrives.
In Japan, the film opens on November 7 across both IMAX and regular screens at once. GKIDS brings it to North America on December 5 in both the original Japanese and an English dubbed version, while the third season is set to premiere in Japan in January 2026.
For a quick refresher, the series began in October 2020 with a 24 episode first season, followed by the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in late 2021 and a sprawling second season in 2023 that ran for two straight cours. That season adapted the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” and “Shibuya Incident” arcs of Gege Akutami’s manga, and the original film even returns for revival screenings in five Japanese cities on October 24.
My take: Compilation films can feel like filler, but bundling the gut punch of the Shibuya Incident with a sneak peek at the next season is actually a clever way to get everyone ready.
