G-SHOCK and Evangelion Team Up for a 30th Anniversary Watch

G-SHOCK has revealed a special collaboration with Neon Genesis Evangelion, celebrating the series’ 30th anniversary with a limited edition watch. Fittingly, the piece was designed by the show’s own mechanical designer, Ikuto Yamashita.

The watch leans fully into the world of Evangelion with bold detailing and original artwork. EVA Unit 01 wraps across the band and bezel, from its horned headgear to its face and the right arm gripping the Spear of Longinus.

There are plenty of smaller touches for fans to spot too. A small dial at the 9 o’clock position takes its cue from the third Angel, Sachiel, while a Y shaped element echoes the caution pattern seen throughout the series.

Other quiet nods include the words NEON GENESIS on the band loop, the NERV logo at the tip, and a 30th anniversary emblem engraved on the case back. The model, the GA 110EVA30, is available to order now.

My take: Collaborations like this are such a treat when they are designed with real care, and having Yamashita himself involved makes it feel authentic. Any Evangelion fan would be proud to wear this one.
