Fire Force Anime’s Final Cours Premieres January 9
The end is near for Fire Force. The official website for the anime of Atsushi Ohkubo’s manga revealed a new visual and a January 9, 2026 premiere date for the second and final cours of its third and final season.
The episodes will air on the Animeism block on MBS, TBS, and CBC, with each one arriving on Netflix in Japan after its broadcast. The first half of the final season began back in April, and internationally Crunchyroll carries the series, including an English dub, across much of the world.
This concluding stretch comes with some staff changes, including Sei Tsuguta now supervising and writing the scripts, along with new leads in art direction, CG, and visual effects.
For newcomers, Fire Force is set in a clockwork version of Tokyo gripped by terror, where people possessed by demons suddenly burst into flame, giving rise to the special firefighters who battle the threat.
Ohkubo, also known for Soul Eater, ran the manga from 2015 to 2022 across 34 volumes, and Kodansha USA publishes it in English.
My take: Fire Force has always been a feast for the eyes, so it is exciting that the finale is in sight. I am hopeful the team sends this stylish, fiery series off with the spectacle it deserves.
