Steel Ball Run English Dub Cast and Stage 2 Schedule
Steel Ball Run is back on Netflix. The 2nd and 3rd STAGE of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Steel Ball Run started streaming on Friday, September 25, 2026, with a new episode every Friday and 11 episodes in total. If you plan to watch in English, the Steel Ball Run English dub cast is led by Daman Mills as Johnny Joestar and Kaiji Tang as Gyro Zeppeli. Below is the full cast, the weekly schedule, and what you need to catch up on before you press play.

Steel Ball Run English dub cast
Netflix has named seven English voice actors for the main roles. Here is each one next to the Japanese voice for the same character, so you can compare both tracks.
| Character | English voice | Japanese voice |
|---|---|---|
| Johnny Joestar | Daman Mills | Shogo Sakata |
| Gyro Zeppeli | Kaiji Tang | Yohei Azakami |
| Diego Brando | Damien Haas | Kaito Ishikawa |
| Lucy Steel | Frankie Kevich | Rie Takahashi |
| Steven Steel | Jamieson Price | Kenta Miyake |
| Sandman | Alejandro Antonio Ruiz | Masaaki Mizunaka |
| Pocoloco | Cedric Williams | Kenichirou Matsuda |
Daman Mills and Kaiji Tang are the two voices that carry this show, since Johnny and Gyro are on screen in almost every scene. Both of them joined the Steel Ball Run panel at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles in July, where composer Yugo Kanno performed live and the 2nd STAGE date was announced.
Three big characters join the story in the new stages: Mountain Tim, Hot Pants, and Funny Valentine. In Japanese they are voiced by Tomoaki Maeno, Yoko Hikasa, and Tomokazu Sugita. The JoJo wiki now lists Joshua David King as the English voice of Mountain Tim. Funny Valentine and Hot Pants still have no English voice listed, so the Steel Ball Run English dub cast is not complete yet. We will update this page once both are confirmed.

What Steel Ball Run is about
Steel Ball Run is Part 7 of Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and it starts a new timeline. The year is 1890. Riders from around the world enter a horse race across America, starting in San Diego and ending in New York City, with a 50 million dollar prize for the winner.
Johnny Joestar is a former star jockey who can no longer walk. Before the race begins, he sees Gyro Zeppeli use a strange technique called the Spin, and for a moment it brings movement back to his legs. Johnny joins the race to chase the secret of the Spin, and that is where Stage 1 leaves him.
The 2nd STAGE is a desert crossing of roughly 750 miles, including a stretch called the Devil’s Palm. Strange things start happening there, and it becomes clear that the race is about far more than prize money. This is also where Funny Valentine, the President of the United States in this story, steps into the plot.

Where to watch the Steel Ball Run English dub
Netflix is the official home of Steel Ball Run worldwide. Stage 1 and the new weekly episodes sit on the same title page. To hear the English dub, open the episode, go to Audio and Subtitles, and choose English. Audio options can differ by region, so if English is missing where you live, the Japanese track with subtitles is the fallback.

My take: The weekly Friday release is the smartest choice Netflix has made with this show. Netflix often drops a whole season at once, and anime like that gets watched in a weekend and forgotten by Monday. Steel Ball Run needs the opposite. The best parts of this story are cliffhangers, strange Stand attacks, and theories about what the race is really for, and people only talk about those things when everyone watches the same episode in the same week. Eleven Fridays of that is how a show becomes the thing the whole community talks about. My one worry is pace. Eleven episodes for two full stages is tight, and these stages bring in a lot of new riders, new Stand rules, and the first real hints of what Valentine wants. If David Production rushes that setup, the Valentine reveal will land with less weight than it should. The other open question is casting. Funny Valentine is the most important role in Part 7, and his English voice still has not been announced. That choice will decide how many dub watchers fall for this villain. My prediction: Steel Ball Run ends 2026 as the most talked about anime on Netflix, and for a lot of new viewers the English dub will be their first JoJo, so that cast matters more than any dub the franchise has had before.
