Shangri La Frontier Season 3 Premieres January 10
Sunraku is logging back in. Shangri La Frontier Season 3 revealed its first key visual and confirmed two consecutive cours, with the premiere set for January 10, 2027. The new season continues with the Galaxia Heroes: Chaos storyline that was teased at the end of the last run.
Two cours is the headline
A split season would have been the safe move. Committing to two consecutive cours up front means roughly half a year of weekly episodes, which is how the first two seasons earned their reputation for actually finishing the arcs they started. For a series built around long raid battles and slow burn guild politics, that runway matters more than it would for most shows.
Shangri La Frontier has been a reliable performer since it debuted: never the loudest show of its season, always among the most consistently watched. C2C’s production has stayed clean through some very busy fight sequences, and the bird masked hero in a loincloth remains one of anime’s great sight gags.
Winter 2027 is getting crowded
The January premiere puts Sunraku alongside Yaiba Season 2, Dengeki Daisy and SSS Class Revival Hunter. The key visual and date were reported by Anime Corner.
My take: Shangri La Frontier is the most dependable game anime running, and two full cours is exactly how it should be served. January is the right call.
