Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods Anime Adds Two Cast Members
The team behind the anime adaptation of Enju’s light novel series Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods revealed two more cast members on Monday. Yoshiki Nakajima joins as Fūjin and Daiki Kobayashi as Raijin, and the staff also shared a serene moon viewing visual to mark the Mid Autumn Festival.
The anime is set to debut in 2026, and Yen Press, which publishes the original light novels in English, has its third volume due on November 11.
The story is a gentle supernatural tale. Minato Kusunoki is left to look after a fearsome countryside house once overflowing with evil spirits, until his unusual ability sweeps them all away.
In their place, a parade of quirky and characterful gods is drawn to the now peaceful, purified home, and Minato settles into a quiet life surrounded by these unexpected divine neighbors.
Enju began the story online in 2021, and it has since grown across ten light novel volumes and a manga adaptation by Akira Anzai.
My take: A cozy slice of life about living peacefully among friendly gods is exactly the kind of calming fantasy I gravitate toward. Casting the thunder and wind gods makes me even more curious about this warm little world.
