Newbies Live Action Web Series Premieres October 27

A new live action web series called Newbies is on the way, and it premieres on October 27 at 9:00 p.m. KST on the KBS Daesenam channel on YouTube. It is based on the webtoon of the same name by Yeoreum Shin.

The story is a gentle youth romance that follows a group of people in their early twenties finding their way through love, dreams, and friendship. Much of it unfolds in shared houses and around college campuses, capturing the awkward and heartfelt moments of that age.

Goohyun Jung and Jaehyun Go lead the cast as Saebom and Jiwon. They are joined by special appearances from Sungjin Kang, Jigoo Kang, Yeonhee Song, and others.

The original webtoon ran on Naver Webtoon between 2021 and 2023. For now there is no official English version of it available.

My take: Soft, everyday romances like this one are easy to root for. I hope an English release follows so more readers can meet these characters too.
