Tomb Raider King Anime Fills the Solo Leveling Void

Adapted from the hit Korean manhwa, the series follows Joo Sang Hyuk, a man who returns to the past with full knowledge of the tombs of the gods and the relics inside them. Where Solo Leveling built its thrill on leveling up, Tomb Raider King builds it on information. The hero knows what is coming, and watching him ruthlessly exploit that knowledge is the whole delicious point.

Reviewers ranked it among the most anticipated shows of the season before it aired, and the premiere justified the hype with sharp pacing and a lead who is more cunning schemer than noble hero. It scratches a very specific itch that pure battle shows do not.
