Ranma ½ Season 2: Fall 2025 Preview
The fall 2025 season brings the return of a true classic. Ranma ½ is back for a second season, continuing the modern adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi’s beloved comedy.
Life in Furinkan stays as chaotic as ever for Ranma, who is still living at the Tendo household alongside his father. This season a fresh wave of rivals and old fiancees turn up to stir the pot.
Among them are the Amazonian warrior Shampoo, now running a noodle shop with her great grandmother Cologne, the leader of the Amazons; Mousse, a Chinese martial artist determined to win Shampoo by defeating Ranma; Ukyo, the okonomiyaki chef engaged to Ranma a decade earlier; and Happosai, the mischievous grandmaster of Anything Goes Martial Arts.
The series streams on Netflix with new episodes on Saturdays.
My take: Seeing Takahashi’s cast brought back with modern animation is a real treat. Ranma ½ has aged remarkably well, and its blend of martial arts mayhem and romantic chaos still lands. I am genuinely happy a new generation gets to meet these characters.
