Short-Lived Buddy Cop Comedy Manga Super Psychic Policeman Chojo Gets Anime Adaptation
The short-lived buddy cop comedy manga Super Psychic Policeman Chojo is getting an anime adaptation, set to premiere in 2026. The manga ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2024 to June 2025 and was only collected in eight volumes.
In the story, a super-powerful yet lazy and self-centred psychic police officer is partnered with a serious rookie to solve crimes in a comedic buddy-cop dynamic.
The anime is being produced by Arvo Animation, with Junichi Yamamoto directing, Hayashi Mori handling the scripts, and Masakatsu Sasaki designing the characters.
