Korean Webtoon I’m Not a Guy Gets a Live Action Drama Adaptation

The Korean romantic comedy webtoon I’m NOT a Guy!? is heading to live action television. Korean entertainment media reported on October 24 that the adaptation is in the works, with actors Si-wan Im and In-ah Seol currently in talks to lead the cast.

The story follows a gender-bending office romance that quickly gets complicated. I-jun Yoon is a third-generation heir to a major conglomerate who is also entangled in a murder case. Jae-hee Kang is a former special forces officer who disguises herself as a man to go undercover as his bodyguard and secretary. Yoon is described as eccentric and unpredictable, while Kang brings serious combat training and a lot of determination to a situation that keeps getting more ridiculous.

The original webtoon was written by Ah-hyun Lee and Do-ha Ryu, with art by One Punch Rabbit. It ran on Kakao Page and Kakao Webtoon from 2022 to 2025 and built a strong following for the way it balanced action, humor, and romantic tension in equal measure.

My take: The premise here is a lot of fun, and I think the mix of undercover drama with romantic comedy is exactly the kind of setup that works well in a live action format. If the casting confirms, Si-wan Im and In-ah Seol could bring a lot of charm to these roles.
