One Piece Elbaf Arc Gets First Anime Preview at NYCC 2025

Fans heading to New York Comic Con 2025 will get a first look at the Elbaf arc coming to the One Piece anime. Toei Animation has confirmed that the upcoming arc will be teased at the event, which runs October 9 through 12 at the Jacob K. Javitz Convention Center. A “surprise” Elbaf related reveal is promised for those who attend in person.

Toei is hosting a dedicated One Piece panel on October 10 from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. ET at the Empire Stage in Javitz North. Series director Wataru Matsumi and producer Ryuta Koike will be joined by English dub cast members Ian Sinclair, who voices Brook, and Madeleine Morris, who plays Lilith. The panel will include discussion of the Elbaf arc and new announcements for the anime. A special promo card giveaway will also take place at the event.

Toei’s exhibit booth at number 2403 will feature a large display with a Gear 5 Luffy balloon and never-before-seen images from the series printed across a surface nearly 46 by 16 feet. One Piece themed merchandise from Bandai Toys and Collectibles and the One Piece Card Game pop-up shops will be at the rear of the booth.

In the manga, the Elbaf arc is the thirty-third major storyline. After Monkey D. Luffy defeats high-ranking World Government forces using his newly attained Gear 5 powers, the Straw Hats head for Elbaf Isle, a land of giants. With the help of a new ally named Prince Loki, Luffy works toward mastering his Devil Fruit abilities and tracking down the missing Captain Shanks. The Elbaf arc is scheduled to begin in the anime in January 2026.

The One Piece anime has been running since 1999 and is available to stream on Netflix, Hulu, and other platforms internationally.

My take: Elbaf has been one of the most anticipated arcs in One Piece for a very long time, and teasing it at NYCC with a surprise reveal is exactly the kind of fan celebration a moment like this deserves. January 2026 feels both far away and not nearly far enough.
