The One Piece anime franchise is gearing up for an incredible showcase at New York Comic-Con 2025. In addition to con-exclusive pop-up stores and giveaways, the convention will also provide fans with exciting new details regarding the series’ next major story arc in the anime.
From Oct. 9-12, New York Comic-Con (NYCC) will be hosted at the Javitz Convention Center in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. In a recent press release, Toei Animation revealed its complete NYCC 2025 line-up, which revolves primarily around One Piece and the company’s upcoming Digimon anime installment, Digimon Beatbreak. For the former series, Toei Animation is hosting a dedicated One Piece Q&A session featuring series director Wataru Matsumi and producer Ryuta Koike. They will be joined by English dub cast members Ian Sinclair (“Soul King” Brook) and Madeleine Morris (Lillith). As detailed in the release, these guests will engage in a “spirited discussion” of the ongoing Egghead Arc while also providing a “not-to-be-missed insider’s perspective” on the highly-anticipated Elbaf arc. Notably, the studio also teases a “surprise” Elbaf-related reveal for those who attend.
One Piece Anime Finally ‘Gears Up’ for New Elbaf Arc Reveal at NYCC This October
In Eiichiro Oda’s original One Piece manga, the Elbaf arc serves as the series’ thirty-third major storyline. Shortly after Monkey D. Luffy uses his newly-attained Gear 5 powers to defeat several high-ranking members of the World Government, the Straw Hats set out for Elbaf Isle, a region populated with giants. With the help of their new ally, Prince Loki, Luffy works to unlock full mastery of his Devil Fruit powers and complete his search for the missing Captain Shanks. Toei Animation’s dedicated One Piece panel is scheduled to run from 12.45-1.45 pm (ET) at the Empire Stage in Javitz North. Prior to the event, there will also be a special giveaway for the official One Piece Card Game, where audience members can receive a free “Monkey D. Luffy CS 2024 participation” promo card.
New reveals for the One Piece anime will also be featured at Toei Animation’s designated exhibit booth. Located just inside the halls’ main entrance, Booth #2403 will feature a massive Gear 5 Luffy balloon surrounded by “larger-than-life, never-before-seen graphic images” from the hit series. These scenes will be displayed on a 45.8 x 15.8 ft surface, providing fans with a perfect view of Toei Animation’s globally beloved shonen classic. For One-Piece themed merchandise, fans can check out the Bandai Toys & Collectibles and One Piece Card Game Pop-Up Shops, both of which will be located at the rear of the booth. According to the release, these two areas will feature a large selection of items “curated especially for NYCC 2025.”
The official release window for One Piece‘s Elbaf anime arc is January 2026. The One Piece anime series is available to stream on Netflix, Hulu and Crunchyroll. The original One Piece manga is available in English from VIZ Media.
