Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf Manga “Light Anime” Series Reveals New Visual, Teaser Trailer & Main Voice Cast
A new key visual, teaser trailer, and main cast were revealed for the upcoming #Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf “light anime” series adaptation. The show will begin broadcasting in Japan on TV Kanagawa’s local news and variety program Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide in December 2025.
The new visual below was drawn by the manga’s original creator Yoroida.
The light anime’s main voice cast will star Chiaki Kobayashi as Elf from Yokohama and Yu Hayashi as Human from Kawasaki.
The light anime series will be directed by Yuji Umoto (SHIBUYA♡HACHI), with Taeko Miura as sound director and Shin Kawamoto as music composer. IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio are both in charge of the animation production.
A light anime adaptation of #Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf was first announced earlier this past August, along with a live-action TV drama that will begin airing in Japan (also on the Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide program) on September 30, 2025.
The original manga series by Yoroida (who drew an illustration to celebrate the light anime’s announcement on their Twitter/X account below) debuted in Micro Magazine’s Comic Elmo on August 4, 2020. Five volumes have been released as of March 2025.
Anime News Network describes the manga as a fantasy comedy series that follows a group of elves, whose forest home had been burned down, and are now living in Kanagawa prefecture.
