Infinity Castle Delivers a Disappointing Streaming Update for Anime Fans
If you were planning to skip the global phenomenon Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle in theaters, thinking you could catch it on a streaming platform, Crunchroll has disappointing news for you. Still dominating theaters worldwide, the demon-hunting tale of Tanjiro Kamado will not be available on the streaming platform until 2026.
Speaking with Popverse, Mitchel Berger, Executive Vice President, Global Commerce (who oversees theatrical releases at Crunchyroll), warned fans:
“Go see [Demon Slayer Infinity Castle] in the theater because the theater is the only place you’re going to be able to see this film in 2025,” he said. “If you want to see it, go see it in the theater because that’s the only place it’s going to be available.”
This is plausible given that the film continues to perform strongly on the big screens, beating James Gunn’s Superman to become the seventh highest-grossing movie of 2025 globally. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has also become the first Japanese film to cross $600 million at the worldwide box office.
So, if you haven’t watched the film yet, this is your cue to rush to the theaters really quickly. And if you are new to the Demon Slayer universe, you might want to catch up on the series first. Demon Slayer Season 1-4 are now available to stream on Crunchyroll.
