May I Ask for One Final Thing? Episode 5 Review
Episode 5 of May I Ask for One Final Thing? gives Scarlet the showdown many of us were waiting for. Faced with the corrupt Prime Minister who exploited the kingdom and hurt the people she cares about, she does not settle for an ordinary beating. She leans fully into her magic, slowing time to a fraction of its normal speed so she can deal with him on her own terms.
Things grow tense when the Prime Minister appears to strike down Prince Julius right in front of her. Scarlet answers with overwhelming force, and the show does not shy away from how final that response is. It is dramatic and a little over the top, which suits the playful spirit of the series.
Happily, Prince Julius is not actually gone, so he still has a part to play in what comes next. With one of the kingdom’s villains dealt with, Scarlet gets a brief moment to catch her breath before the next challenge arrives.
That challenge is the episode’s biggest surprise. Terenezza turns out to be a woman reincarnated from another world, a reveal that reframes her as a fresh and serious threat. It is a clever spin on a familiar idea and easily the most interesting turn the story has taken so far.

My take: I only wish Scarlet had been the one to finish the Prime Minister herself. Even so, the Terenezza twist won me over completely, and I cannot wait to see where it leads.
