Reze Arc Movie Gets US Early Screenings on October 22
Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will hold early screenings in the United States on October 22 for subscribers on its Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan tiers, with Fandango listing the participating theaters.
The early screenings come alongside a slightly accelerated release. Sony Pictures Entertainment, which holds the worldwide theatrical rights, will now open the film in the United States and Canada on October 24, a few days ahead of its originally planned October 29 date. Those showings will include RealD 3D presentations.
The wider rollout has been well underway elsewhere. The film began screening across more than 80 countries in late September, with a United Kingdom opening set for October 29.
In Japan, where it all started, the movie opened on September 19 across 421 theaters, complete with midnight screenings in major cities.
The Reze Arc continues the story of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s gory, beloved Chainsaw Man, and the strong theatrical push reflects just how much demand there is for it.
My take: Moving the release up and adding early screenings shows real confidence in the film, and fans clearly cannot wait. A 3D option feels fitting for an arc this explosive.
