A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai Anime Gets English Dub
Crunchyroll announced on Saturday that the English dub for the anime A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai began streaming on October 13. The series is based on the light novels by Masuo Kinoko.
The anime first arrived in Japan through streaming on U-NEXT in late September before airing on Tokyo MX and BS11 in early October. Crunchyroll has been carrying it worldwide outside of Asia.
It is being directed by Yoshinori Odaka at the studios Tatsunoko Production and Synergy SP, with Gigaemon Ichikawa handling the scripts and Hiroshi Takaki composing the music. The group Nornis performs the opening theme, Prologue, while the rock duo NAKIGOTO handles the ending song.
The story follows Takeru Kamishiro, an ordinary office worker who is suddenly summoned to a sword and magic world called Madeus. He arrives equipped with a handy set of skills, including boosted strength, strong magic, and a special ability to search out valuable items.
Armed with those convenient gifts, Takeru sets off to explore his new world, in a relaxed take on the popular isekai formula. Alpha Manga publishes the manga adaptation in English.
My take: A laid back isekai centered on gathering and discovery rather than constant battle sounds like a pleasant change of pace. A same week dub is a nice touch for fans who prefer watching in English.
