Who is Kudo in My Hero Academia: Related to Bakugo? Explained!
The My Hero Academia Season 8 is booming in the Otaku world right now, Thanks to Crunchyroll the fans are feasting on such insane episodes. We all know that My Hero Academia is stuffed with some of the best characters. It’s probably the only anime with the most number of characters with their respective fandoms.
An anime where even the MC isn’t rated highest in the popularity contests, this is the power of Kohei Horikoshi’s Creation.
In the Episode 3 of MHA S8 we came across a mysterious character called ‘Toshitsugo Kudo’, who looks like he is related to Bakugo. But is he though? Let’s find out more about him in the article.
Who is Kudo Toshitsugu?!
In the My Hero Academia Season 8 Episode 3 we came across a new character whose name wasn’t revealed before, he isn’t someone who lives in the present and is a special hero. His name is Kudo Toshitsugi and he is One for All’s past user, he is one of the strongest holders of this legendary power but died a young death.
Kudo had a best friend called Yoichi, he was the first owner of One For All!
Yoichi is also All for One’s Younger Brother. AFO was always obsessed with regaining the powers of OFA, this turned into an obsession with his younger brother.
Yoichi was killed brutally by All for One in quest of stealing OFA, poor Kudo was left with his friend’s blood splattered over his face. Kudo went on to gain the powers because Yoichi’s will lived inside of him, this is how One For All was born and Kudo became the First User to inherit it from his best friend.
The Dangerous AFO fought Kudo and massacred his whole team, this resulted in the death of Kudo Toshitsugi too. Kudo had already passed the baton of OFA to Bruce, who became the Third User of One for All. This pissed off AFO and he went on a killing spree and ended Kudo’s whole bloodline, every child, every woman and man. He wanted his lineage wiped out!
That’s why when AFO saw Bakugo in the recent episode he was shook, the guy looked exactly like his old enemy Kudo!
Is Bakugo really related to Kudo?
The Mha fans think Kudo might be related to Katsuki Bakugo, the spiky hair, facial structure, the badass aura and the smirk makes it possible.
But here’s the truth about this question…
They both aren’t related as Kudo’s bloodline was completely wiped out, but the resemblance is uncanny and we can’t blame AFO. Their powers are different too, Bakugo uses Explosion and Kudo uses Gearshift and One for All.
Both of them hated AFO and embarked on a journey to end him, there might be a chance of Reincarnation in such a case. Even AFO thought that Bakugo had the same piercing eyes as Kudo’s. Kudo and Yoichi’s bond was similar to Bakugo and Deku’s bond, there are chances of Reincarnation.
