King Gnu Announce a 2026 Asian Concert Tour
The Japanese rock band King Gnu announced on Monday that they will embark on an Asian concert tour in May and June of 2026. Ahead of that, the band will play a run of shows across Japan from February through May.
The international leg begins at the One Bangkok Forum in Thailand on May 23, before moving on to the AsiaWorld Arena in Hong Kong at the end of May.
From there the tour continues to Taipei Arena in Taiwan and a venue in Shanghai in early June, wrapping up at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea, on June 20 and 21.
King Gnu have come a long way since forming in 2013 under a different name. They settled on King Gnu in 2017 and broke through with their major debut album Sympa in early 2019.
Anime fans will know their music well, as the group has performed theme songs for series and films including Banana Fish, Ranking of Kings, and both Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen.
My take: King Gnu’s anime themes are some of the most striking around, so it is great to see them bringing that energy to stages across Asia. Fans in those cities are in for a real treat.
