10 Overpowered Anime Characters Who Could Destroy the Demon Slayer Universe
Demon Slayer has given fans some of the most thrilling supernatural battles in modern anime. Its breathtaking animation and high-stakes fights between Demon Slayers and Muzan’s Upper Moons have kept audiences hooked. Still, the series is built on a power system with clear limits. For as fierce as the Hashira and Tanjiro are, the Demon Slayer universe is not home to the strongest anime characters ever imagined.
When stacking Demon Slayer against other powerhouse series, many iconic characters stand out as being so overwhelmingly strong that they could wipe out Muzan, his lieutenants, and the Demon Slayer Corps in one sweep. Whether it is raw strength, unbreakable magic, or reality-defying powers, the following ten anime characters could absolutely solo the Demon Slayer universe, no questions asked.
Mash Burnedead (Mashle: Magic and Muscles)
Mash Burnedead may come from a parody-heavy series, but his raw physical strength is no joke. In a world where magic determines social standing, Mash breaks the rules by substituting pure muscle power for spellcasting. He is fast enough to dodge spells that move at lightning speed and strong enough to punch through enchanted barriers that even top-tier wizards cannot destroy.
Against the demons of Demon Slayer, Mash’s strength alone would be game-breaking. Upper Moons rely on regenerative powers and flesh-manipulating techniques to overwhelm their opponents. But Mash’s attacks are so direct and devastating that a demon’s body would be reduced to unrecognizable pulp before it could even regenerate. Muzan, with all his cunning, would not survive a single full-powered punch.
Isaac Netero (Hunter x Hunter)
Netero, the chairman of the Hunter Association, is proof that martial arts mastery can reach godlike levels. His 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva technique allows him to summon an enormous spiritual construct with hands that strike at speeds faster than sound. Each strike carries the destructive force of a bomb, yet Netero can unleash them continuously without tiring.
In the Demon Slayer world, Netero would dismantle Muzan’s army with calm precision. His speed and durability alone would make him untouchable, but the Guanyin statue adds overwhelming area-of-effect destruction. Against multiple demons at once, Netero’s rapid-fire strikes would eliminate them in seconds, leaving even the strongest Upper Moons with no chance to adapt or counterattack.
Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto)
Sasuke’s combination of Sharingan mastery and Rinnegan abilities puts him far beyond anything Demon Slayer characters could handle. With the Sharingan, he predicts movements and strikes with perfect precision. The Rinnegan elevates him further, letting him teleport, manipulate space, and unleash techniques that erase entire landscapes. Add in his Susanoo armor and Amaterasu flames, and he’s practically invincible.
The demons’ regenerative abilities would not matter against Amaterasu’s inextinguishable black fire. Even Muzan, who can survive decapitation, would crumble under flames that consume matter until nothing remains. Sasuke’s genjutsu would also shatter demon morale, trapping weaker ones in illusions before slicing them down. Against an opponent with that toolkit, the Demon Slayer Corps would not even need to exist.
Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach)
Ichigo’s power progression in Bleach makes him one of anime’s most notorious overpowered protagonists. By the time of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, he wields Quincy, Shinigami, and Hollow powers simultaneously. His speed, raw strength, and spiritual pressure dwarf entire armies, and his Getsuga Tenshō slash could level battlefields in a single swing.
In the world of Demon Slayer, Ichigo would stand as an unstoppable force. Demons thrive on fear, but Ichigo’s spiritual energy alone would crush their wills before combat began. Even if Muzan attempted to divide his body to escape destruction, Ichigo’s speed ensures he would cut down every fragment before it could flee. To Ichigo, the battle would feel more like a chore than a real fight.
Father, the Homunculus born from the dwarf in the flask, embodies alchemical omnipotence. After absorbing God-like power, he becomes capable of manipulating matter and energy on a planetary scale. His control over souls, reality, and near-immortality places him among the most broken characters in anime. Even his earlier form with the Philosopher’s Stone inside his body made him essentially unkillable.
The Demon Slayer universe has never dealt with someone who can rewrite the laws of reality. Father could nullify a demon’s regenerative ability simply by altering the rules of biology. He could also transmute their bodies into lifeless matter instantly. Muzan’s centuries of evolution would be meaningless against Father’s godlike abilities. The fight would not even last long enough to be called a battle.
Saitama (One Punch Man)
Saitama’s entire character is built on the joke of being unbeatable, but even treated seriously, he belongs on this list. His power lies in ending any fight with a single punch, regardless of his opponent’s durability or scale of power. He has casually jumped from the moon back to Earth, and his reflexes allow him to react before most enemies even move.
No demon in Demon Slayer could withstand Saitama’s strength. Muzan, with his cunning strategies and incredible regeneration, would be obliterated in a blink. The Upper Moons would not even register as challenges. What makes Saitama truly terrifying in this scenario is his boredom; the Demon Slayer universe simply would not offer him any opponent worth fighting.
Ryomen Sukuna (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Sukuna, the King of Curses, thrives on sheer malice and monstrous cursed energy. Even with only fragments of his original power, he devastates cities with his Malevolent Shrine domain expansion, slicing everything in a fixed radius into ribbons. His regeneration is second to none, and his techniques allow him to cleave through defenses that once seemed impenetrable.
Demons rely on their durability to intimidate opponents, but Sukuna specializes in dismantling tough enemies. His cutting techniques bypass normal resistance, meaning Muzan’s body manipulation tricks would not protect him. Worse yet, Sukuna’s cruelty ensures he would not just defeat his foes, he would torment them. The Demon Slayer Corps would face not only destruction but also merciless humiliation under his reign.
Goku (Dragon Ball)
Goku is arguably the most famous powerhouse in anime. From Super Saiyan transformations to Ultra Instinct, his abilities push him into realms where he rivals gods. His punches carry the force of entire planets, his speed exceeds light, and his endurance has seen him survive blows that should annihilate lesser beings instantly. He constantly breaks his own limits, ensuring he only gets stronger.
The Demon Slayer universe simply does not have the framework to handle a fighter like Goku. Muzan might hope to manipulate his cells to survive, but one strike from Goku could vaporize him before regeneration even begins. The Upper Moons would be destroyed faster than the audience could blink. For Goku, fighting demons would be little more than training practice.
Sailor Moon (Sailor Moon)
Sailor Moon may be underestimated by those who remember her as a “magical girl,” but her full power ranks her among the most broken characters in anime. With the Silver Crystal, she wields energy capable of purifying entire galaxies and rewriting reality. Her healing abilities also mean that no amount of damage could keep her down for long.
In the Demon Slayer universe, Sailor Moon would not only destroy Muzan and his army but likely redeem them. Her purifying energy specifically erases corruption, meaning demons would be forced back into their original human forms before being wiped away completely. Unlike other characters on this list, Sailor Moon would not just end the demon threat, she would bring closure to the tragedy of their existence.
Frieren (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End)
Frieren may not seem overwhelming at first glance, but her centuries of magical mastery and sheer versatility make her lethal, not to mention her vitriolic hatred of demons. She wields hundreds of spells, including devastating wide-range attacks, anti-magic countermeasures, and ancient incantations no other mage remembers. Her patience and intellect make her almost impossible to outmaneuver, and her power grows even stronger as she rediscovers forgotten magical knowledge.
For Demon Slayer’s demons, Frieren would represent their worst nightmare. She could dissect their regenerative properties, sealing or annihilating them with advanced magic. Even Muzan’s unpredictability wouldn’t hold up against her methodical, overwhelming firepower. While others on this list might rely on brute strength, Frieren would simply outclass her enemies through centuries of experience and precision.
