Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urðr Hunt Film Drops Its Full Trailer
The official site for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urðr Hunt Special Edition: Path of the Little Challenger has released a full trailer for the standalone film, a spinoff of the Iron-Blooded Orphans television series.
The timing is meaningful. Saturday marked the 10th anniversary of the original anime’s premiere, so the site also unveiled a special anniversary key visual to celebrate.
The film opens in Japanese theaters on October 31, with a North American release planned as well. A new short titled Makuai no Kusabi, also made for the 10th anniversary, will screen alongside it. Cast members Kengo Kawanishi and Rina Ikoma are set to appear at stage greeting events during November screenings in Tokyo.
Kawanishi returns as Mikazuki, with Yoshimasa Hosoya once again voicing Orga Itsuka. The Urðr Hunt project was first announced in 2019 and originally debuted within the Iron-Blooded Orphans G app in late 2022.
My take: Ten years already. Iron-Blooded Orphans left a real mark on Gundam fans, and giving Urðr Hunt a proper theatrical release feels like a fitting way to honor that anniversary. I hope longtime fans get the celebration they deserve.
